The opportunity:
We are looking to hire a talented SRE Engineer. In this role, you will help and challenge AgileLab to develop SRE best practices. You will define, create and manage reliable infrastructures for our business-critical applications. Automation, scalability, monitoring, and troubleshooting should be your priorities.
Salary: 45K - 57.5K
Responsibilities:
Analyzes designs and implements complex infrastructures;
Challenges the team processes, looking for ways to improve;
Mentors junior engineers via pairing, design, and code review;
Makes active efforts to stay up-to-date with technologies;
Leads the technical design of complex infrastructures;
Understands and optimizes system performances;
Takes the initiative to fix issues before they become a problem;
Proactively Identifies problems with requirements and remediation plan.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science;
Previous experience as an SRE Engineer (3-4 years);
In-depth knowledge of Cloudera cluster management;
In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as Java/Scala, bash, python;
In-depth knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems internals, TCP/IP networking, a solid understanding of security practices;
In-depth knowledge of at least one cloud provider among Azure, AWS, and GCP;
Expert in cloud-native technologies, IaC, Docker, and Kubernetes;
Excellent communication skills;
Proactivity;
Team Player;
Ability to solve complex networking, data, and software issues;
Leadership capabilities.
